Hi All.
Sorry but this is a moan ...............
If you must use a "Hands Free" system in your vehicle, please, please, PLEASE make sure that you cannot inadvertently switch your mobile rig to TRANSMIT.
After 3 minutes the repeaters time out will kick-in, but it makes the system un-available for anyone else to use.
Of course, when the culprit goes through a bad patch and momentarily drops out, the timeout re-sets, and off we go again with all the background noises.....
So, please do NOT mount the hands free TX switch on the Gear Stick, or anywhere else where you can put your rig into TX, without YOU knowing it.
Please put the switch in a position where YOU can clearly see if it's in the TX position, and if you cannot see the front of your rig, when driving, please, also install some VISIBLE indication, in an obvious position, that will tell you when you are transmitting.
Thanks.
Cheers, 73's

Over the last few of weeks, I have lost count of the number of times that GB3JB has been put into transmit, for us all to have to listen to: engine wine, the changing of gear, other vehicle and wind noise through an open window, the cars broadcast radio, heavy breathing and the occasional cough, squeaky wind screen wipers, the occasional conversation, the occasional tut and exclamation at other drivers, and mobile flutter, etc., etc.,
